This paper combines the construction requirements of stock planning under the current territorial and spatial background,introduces the overall characteristics of rural idle schools and the villagers'willingness for the reuse of idle schools,summarizes the transformation directions of rural idle schools into five types:education and teaching,medical and health care,cultural and sports logistics,economic development,and party and government publication.At the same time,different directions for the transformation of idle rural schools are proposes according to different positioning based on the five major types of villages under the current village planning in Hunan Province,in order to provide both theoretical and practical guidance for the activation and utilization of rural idle schools in Hunan Province.
