Based on sound insulation theory and residential project examples,this paper introduces the calculation and statistical methods for sound insulation performance of building components,as well as the calculation method of actual sound insulation amount of composite wall and the superposition of multiple sound sources,thereby leading to the physical meaning and specification requirements of two different parameters of indoor noise and indoor noise level respectively.The analysis shows that the area ratio of doors,windows and composite walls is the key parameter that affects the sound insulation performance of composite walls,in case the construction methods are the same.
