Research on Multi-dimensional Post-Occupancy Evaluation of Low-carbon Building Performance
Post-Occupancy Evaluation(POE)is a systematic and rigorous evaluation process conducted after a building has been constructed and used for a period of time.In recent years,China has vigorously promoted the construction of nearly zero-energy buildings and low-carbon buildings. While early demonstration projects have gradually been implemented, there are still relatively few standards and studies on how to conduct post-oc-cupancy evaluations of low-carbon buildings and how to verify their multi-dimensional performance. This paper examines domestic and international methods and processes for building post-occupancy evaluation, and proposes a comprehensive, practical, and culturally appropriate multi-dimension-al post-occupancy evaluation process for low-carbon building performance in China. This process primarily includes questionnaire surveys, collection of building physics and energy system information, data collection on energy consumption, carbon emissions and environmental factors,as well as an indicator scoring system. The POE process proposed in this study not only assesses building performance but also analyzes design and operational issues, providing supportive recommendations for low-carbon building retrofits or operational optimization. This process can serve as a reference for industry professionals.
