Architectural Design Strategies for Urban Renewal in High Density Old Town Areas——Taking the Party School Project of Huangpu District Committee of the Communist Party of China in Shanghai as example
The current urbanization process has entered a new stage of stock renewal.In the complex land use background of old city areas,urban renewal projects need to simultaneously address diverse functional requirements,the continuation and protection of historical features,and the coordination of multiple professions and departments within limited conditions,which puts higher demands on architects.This article explores and studies current urban renewal projects through the architectural design practice of the Huangpu District Party School project of the Communist Party of China in Shanghai,and summarizes relevant project experience and design strategies.
