Analysis and policy recommendations for optimizing the development of modern metropolitan areas:taking the three major metropolitan areas in Hubei province as an example
The construction of metropolitan areas has become an important strategy for promoting the rapid development of regional economies at home and abroad.Cities within the metropolitan area complement each other's advantages to jointly promote high-quality development.In order to give full play to the supporting role of metropolitan areas in promoting regional economic development and enhancing industrial capabilities,this article reviews the development practices of important metropolitan areas at home and abroad,summarizes their excellent development experience,and deeply analyzes the current situation and shortcomings of the metropolitan areas in Hubei province.It also proposes suggestions for further optimizing the construction of modern metropolitan areas,mainly including continuously strengthening technological innovation capabilities,enhancing the radiation effect of central cities,promoting the free flow of factors,and improving market cooperation mechanisms.
