Comparative study on the competitiveness of scientific research papers in petroleum universities based on InCites and ESI perspectives
In order to optimize discipline layout,stimulate the initiative of research paper innovation,and grasp the research and development level of petroleum universities,this paper compares and analyzes the academic influence of China University of Petroleum(Beijing)with nine other petroleum universities.Based on the ESI database and InCites database as statistical sources,10 evaluation indicators were selected from three dimensions:paper production,paper impact,and collaboration based on the basic science indicators of InCites database.A comprehensive evaluation of the research paper competitiveness of 10 petroleum universities was conducted.The results show that the overall comprehensive competitiveness index of petroleum universities in China is relatively high.China University of Petroleum(Beijing)is in the middle position in terms of research paper competitiveness,with a slight advantage in paper collaboration and a mid-level position in paper production and paper impact.In the future,it should continue to strengthen the quantity and quality of research papers,and establish relevant paper reward mechanisms,etc.The analysis of research paper competitiveness can provide sufficient monitoring data and support the formulation of development policies for the construction of"Double First-class"universities.
