Study on Mechanism of Sulfide Roasting Reconstruction of Chrysocolla
In response to the problem that it is difficult to recover chrysocolla, which is a typical oxidized copper mineral,by direct flotation, its sulfide reconstruction was carried out by sulfide roasting. The effects of different sulfide reconstruction conditions on the flotation recovery of chrysocolla were investigated, and the mechanism of sulfide reconstruction to enhance flo-tation was explored by using XRD,XPS,SEM-EDS and other testing methods. The results showed that the chrysocolla particles undergo a sulfidation reaction with sulfur vapor from the outside to the inside, and the generated Cu2 S sulfide layer completely wraps the surface of the particles, which improves the trapping effect of the butyl xanthine, and then improves the flotation re-covery.Under the appropriate reconstruction conditions of amount of substance ratio of S2 and CuSiO3·2H2 O of 0.6,sulfide re-construction temperature of 900℃,and sulfide reconstruction time of 10 min,the flotation recovery of chrysocolla can be ob-tained as 83.94%.
