Research on Mine Low Illumination Image Enhancement Based on CLAHE-PCA
The underground mine roadway environment often faces insufficient light,and it is difficult to judge abnormal conditions such as rock mass spalling by obtaining its dark channel image.Aiming at the problem of low contrast of mine tunnel dark channel image,an image enhancement algorithm based on CLAHE-PCA is proposed.Firstly,the CLAHE algorithm is used to enhance the contrast of the original dark channel image of the mine roadway,and then the adaptive Gamma algorithm is used to increase the contrast correction of the low brightness image.The corrected grayscale image is converted into RGB image,and it is smoothed by PCA to restore more details of the dark channel image.The peak signal-to-noise ratio,structural similarity,av-erage gradient and information entropy were used as evaluation indexes to verify the test results.The results show that this method can effectively deal with low contrast mine roadway images,and the structural similarity of the processed images reaches 93%.It has strong robustness and can restore more details of the images.
