Study on the Influence of Iron Ore Tailings Content on Uniaxial Strength of Concrete
In order to explore the influence of iron ore tailings(IOTs)contents on the uniaxial strength of concrete, the uniaxial compressive strength, splitting tensile strength and flexural strength of concrete at the age of 3,7,28 d under different contents of IOTs sand were tested, and change rate of strength were used to comprehensively evaluate the influence of IOTs contents on the strength of concrete. It is found that compressive and tensile strength decreases slightly in the range of 0~50%IOTs contents on 28 d,while the flexural strength increases slightly in this range. Finally, through the regression analysis, the relationship between strength and IOTs contents and the relationship between three uniaxial strength are fitted, which has a good correlation. It could show the effect of the content of IOTs on the strength of the concrete and then realize the prediction of the strength value of IOTs concrete, providing experimental basis and technical support for the utilization of iron ore tailings as a substitute for concrete sand.
