Experimental and Mechanism Study on Strengthening Separation of Molybdenum and Copper by Roasting Pretreatment
In order to solve the problem of flotation separation of molybdenum-copper mixed concentrate, the influence of roasting pretreatment on flotation separation of molybdenum-copper mixed concentrate in a concentrator was studied. The results showed that the calcination pretreatment can effectively improve the flotation separation effect of molybdenum copper mixed concentrate. The optimum calcination pretreatment conditions are calcination temperature of 250 ℃ and calcination time of 30 min.The pretreatment products were treated with one roughing, two cleaning and one scavenging flotation process, and the mo-lybdenum grade of molydenum concentrate was 44.30%and the molybdenum recovery of molydenum concentrate was 36.58%,and the copper concentrate grade was 14.23%and the copper recovery was 69.62%.The results of XRD and SEM-EDS analysis of the calcined products showed that molybdenum and chalcopyrite can be oxidized during the calcination process. When the roasting temperature is 250 ℃,the surface oxidation degree of chalcopyrite is much higher than that of mo-lybdenite,which increases the difference of floatability between the two, creating conditions for the effective separation of copper and molybdenum minerals.
