Experimental Study on Pre-classification and Reconcentration of Anshan Type Lean Hematite Tailings
In order to improve the comprehensive utilization rate of an iron tailings in Anshan, the beneficiation test was carried out on the basis of process mineralogy research. The results showed that the content of SiO2 in the iron tailings sample is 79.77%,the grade of TFe is 9.05%,and the content of deleterious components S and P is notably low.The main iron miner-al hematite content in the sample is 9.47%,the secondary iron minerals are magnetite and limonite. The main gangue mineral quartz content is as high as 73.02%,and other gangue minerals are present in minor quantities. The iron in the sample mainly exists in the form of hematite-brown iron, and the distribution rate is as high as 72.55%,while the distribution rate of magnetic iron is only 14.72%.The particle size of the sample is coarse, the yield of-0.074 mm is only 44.68%,and the iron is obvi-ously enriched in the fine particle size. The sample was subjected to de-coarsening(+0.074 mm),one roughing one cleaning magnetic separation and one roughing two cleaning two scavenging, and the middle ore was returned to the reverse flotation process in order to obtain a reselected iron concentrate with a TFe grade of 60.56%and a recovery rate of 41.76%.The+0.074 mm high-silicon coarse sand with a yield of 55.48%,and the comprehensive tailings rate of magnetic flotation with a TFe grade of 7.33%and a recovery rate of 31.02%was only 38.28%,which achieved a better comprehensive utilization goal of iron separation, coarse sand extraction, and tailings reduction.
