Improving Cleaning Performance of Dust Filter Cartridge by Opposing Pulsed-jet Cooperate with Annular Baffle
In order to solve the filter cartridge problems of"blind zone"and insufficient cleaning effect of dry-type dust filter collector,the influence of annular baffle and opposing pulsed-jet method on the flow field in filter cartridge was studied by numerical simulation.The effect of baffle size,pulsed-jet pressure ratio PR,of primary nozzle and auxiliary nozzle on pulsed-jet intensity,uniformity,compressive static pressure,and gas consumption were investigated.The synergistic effect of collision in-jection and annular baffle on filter cartridge cleaning was analyzed.The study results show that:① The annular baffle is advan-tageous in reducing the area of the top opening of the filter cartridge,impeding the airflow that rebounds from the cartridge bot-tom,and preventing energy loss.When the annular baffle size outer and inner diameters[R,r]=[120,45]mm,the dust cleaning performance of the filter cartridge is the best.② Increasing the PR values of the opposing pulsed-jet helps the rela-tively high pressure area formed by the collision move up in the filter cartridge,but the too large PR will cause the bottom jet flow to pass directly through the center of the annular baffle and lose the effective barrier.The multi-staged opposing pulsed-jet cleaning mode with PR=[1.00,1.00,1.33,2.00]ensures the cleaning performance while reducing the compressed gas con-sumption When cooperating with multi-staged opposing pulsed-jet cleaning mode,the annular baffle plate is especially benefi-cial to promote the accumulation of static pressure formed by collision in the upper section of the filter cartridge,so as to realize significant improvement of the spray effect.③ The optimum parameters([R,r]=[120,45]mm,pressure ratio PR=[1.00,1.00,1.33,2.00])recommended in this paper increase the pulsed-jet static pressure in the upper section region of the car-tridge by 249.1%,the overall pulsed-jet intensity by 63.0%,the comprehensive static pressure by 111.6%,and the uniformity by 26.7%compared with the conventional pulsed-jet cleaning.
