Effect of soil shear strength anisotropy on sliding mode and stability of slope
Based on the upper-bound theorem of limit analysis, the slope stability analysis with considering soil strength anisotropy was carried out.The influence of soil shear strength anisotropy on the sliding mode of soil slope instability and the safety factor of slope stability was investigated by parameter analysis. The results show that the slope stability safety factor is decreased with the decreasing of anisotropy coefficient, and the influence degree is increased with the decreasing of friction angle and slope in the soil.Fort the gentle slope with large soil cohesion and low internal friction angle, the most dangerous sliding surface changes from the deep failure at the foot of slope to the deep failure at the bottom of slope with the decreasing of anisotropy coefficient, and the sliding range is increased significantly.Based on the calculation results, the stability chart is drawn, which realizes the rapid calculation of the slope safety factor and the judgment of sliding mode with considering the soil anisotropy.
