This paper focuses on the implementation experience of upgrading and new construc-tion projects of sewage plants in Shanghai's central urban area during the"13th Five-Year Plan"pe-riod.Involving the upgrading and switching of existing sewage plants,the commissioning after the construction of sewage plants,and the overall design optimization,the key aspects required to be concerned are proposed,and the practical recommendations are summarized.
