In response to the characteristics of high pectin content, elevated coloration, and high organic matter concentration in wastewater from nut-based food processing,a certain engi-neering project was designed to utilize a combination of aeration regulation, dissolved air flotation,iron-carbon electrocoagulation,coagulation,two-stage aeration/oxidation,membrane bioreactor, and coagulation sedimentation processes. This study presents the process flow, key design parame-ters,and treatment outcomes of this combined technology. The influent wastewater had concentra-tions of COD,TN,and TP at 3 468,59.13,and 13.23 mg/L,respectively.After treatment with the combined process, removal rates of COD,TN,and TP reached 99.45%,93.40%,and 99.70%,respectively,surpassing the discharge standards for the second period of the first-grade e-missions as specified in the Guangdong provincial water pollution emission standards(DB 44/26-2001).
