With the continuous growth of urban areas in China,there has been a concerning lag in the construction of urban drainage and flood prevention projects.This has led to frequent occur-rences of the phenomenon known as"sea view in the city"which indirectly leads to subway flooding accidents.These accidents significantly impact the convenience and safety of people's lives and travels.Firstly,this study provides an analysis of subway flooding accidents in China,including their causes and mechanisms.By considering the unique characteristics of these accidents,precau-tionary measures for subway flooding are proposed.Secondly,an overview is given on the research progress regarding the intrusion of groundwater,flooding processes,criteria for determining hu-man instability,and hydraulic characteristics.This review aims to guide the implementation of preventive and emergency measures in order to minimize the risks associated with subway flooding accidents.
