Leachate is one of the secondary pollutants generated during the process of sanitary landfill of municipal solid waste(MSW),but concentrated leachate was generated in the membrane treatment process.Mechanical vapor recompression(MVR)evaporation is one of the main treat-ment technologies for concentrated leachate, but it will produce mother liquor, namely MVR mother liquor. This study explores the impact of evaporating mother liquor recirculation on leachate quality and equipment corrosion in landfills.Research has shown that the reinjection of evaporated mother liquor can lead to an increase in the moisture content of the landfill body,resul-ting in a significant increase in the concentration of TDS and COD in the leachate. This in turn leads to an increase in the TDS of DTRO influent,an increase in concentration and membrane pres-sure,a decrease in salt retention rate, and an intensification of membrane pollution and equipment corrosion. It can be seen that the reinjection of evaporated mother liquor will have adverse effects on the generation and disposal of landfill leachate, and appropriate treatment and disposal technolo-gies for evaporated mother liquor should be developed.
