Research on control measures for combined sewer overflow pollution in mountainous cities
This paper mainly focuses on the combined sewer overflow(CSO)pollution issues in mountainous cities.Specifically, based on practical engineering examples, this study examines the drainage characteristics of mountainous cities, clarifies the work objectives, and provides detailed analyses for the problems and causes regarding CSO pollution.By comprehensively comparing the complete diversion of rain and sewage water solution with the interception and storage solution, simple and efficient management measures tailored to local conditions are proposed, and a reasona-ble CSO control technology route has been established.Short-and long-term governance plans are also provided in this study to reduce the frequency of overflows and river pollution and, ultimately,to achieve the pollution control objectives. The feasibility of these plans has been verified using SWMM,and model simulation suggests the high feasibility and possibility of these plans on the control of CSO pollution issues.
