This study analyzes the critical water quality guidelines extremely important for the accomplishment of high-quality drinking water and carefully examines the features of the raw water from the South-to-North Water Diversion Middle Line in northern China.Integrating the similar engineering case studies,the paper describes the effectiveness of ultrafiltration membrane systems in changing to fit the raw water's attributes and in going along with the strict standards for high-quality drinking water within water treatment facilities in northern China.It explains different set-ups of ultrafiltration membrane technology and their corresponding design judging requirements.Also,the paper deals with important issues connected with the use of ultrafiltration membrane technology in water treatment plants across northern China.
