Engineering example of BACF process for treating printing and dyeing wastewater
The biological activated carbon filter(BACF)treatment process was adopted in a printing and dyeing park sewage treatment plant in Jiangsu province in response to the problems of long process and high operating costs. The operation results over 3 years show that the COD,TN,NH3-N and TP in the effluent can reach 58 mg/L,8.8 mg/L,0.9 mg/L and 0.3 mg/L,respective-ly,and the effluent quality meets the Discharge standard of main water pollutants for municipal wastewater treatment plant & key industries of Taihu Area(DB 32/1072-2018)Table 3,and the suspended solids(SS)and Chroma also meet the Discharge standards of water pollutants for dyeing and finishing of textile industry(GB 4287-2012)Table 2.Compared to the original process, the technique can significantly shorten the technological process, reduce about 50%of the land occupation, save about 50%of the operating costs, and save an annual operating cost of 16 million yuan.
