Study on water capacity of building drainage system under long distance pipe offset
Drainage pipe offset is often used in high-rise buildings for both commercial and resi-dential purposes, but this kind of design will cause changes in drainage flow pattern, resulting in fierce pressure fluctuations in the pipe system, damaging the water seal of sanitary appliances and polluting the indoor environment.Existing studies have discussed the characteristics of short-dis-tance offset, and this paper carries out tests for scenarios with offset distances 1.0 m and 1.5 m.The test was carried out in a 60 m high full-size experimental tower. The constant flow method was used to compare the maximum water discharge capacity of the building drainage system at dif-ferent offset distances by comparing pressure limit values and water seal loss values. The results show that this two long-distance offset groups have great negative effects on the water flow capaci-ty of the building drainage system(decreasing more than 50%),and the longer the offset distance, the greater the negative effect.
