Research on the current situation and development of sewage collection and treatment facilities in towns of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei
The 14th Five-Year Plan for the development of urban sewage treatment and re-source utilization has set higher requirements for the sewage treatment levels of towns in the Bei-jing-Tianjin-Hebei region. The study found significant differences and imbalances in sewage treat-ment levels among these towns.Towns in Beijing and Tianjin, with their relatively developed econ-omies and higher urban density, have almost complete coverage of sewage treatment facilities. However, sewage treatment efficacy still needs improvement, with treatment rates at 69.57%and 78.81%,respectively.In contrast, towns in Hebei province face challenges due to large built-up areas, complex landforms, and scattered town areas. The proportion of towns treating sewage in Hebei is only 65.28%,far below the national average. There are still many gaps in the construc-tion of sewage treatment facilities, with per capita investments of only 44.2 and 31.7 yuan/person,indicating a lack of financial support for the regular operation of sewage treatment. Therefore,it is crucial to strengthen research on the current state of sewage collection and treatment in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei towns.Proposing optimization suggestions in terms of sewage treatment modes,sci-entifically setting standards, establishing a sewage pricing mechanism, and improving design plan-ning is vital for the sustainable development of sewage treatment in this region.
