Quantitative characterization of the gelation effect on wax deposition in oil-water emulsified system
Through the study on the variation of viscosity of emulsion with temperature, the formation of gel lumps was quantitatively characterized with a mathematical expression deduced. The gelation process was then divided into two stages:gel formation and gel adhesion.According to the tempera-ture conditions of wax deposition experiment, the formation coefficient of gel lumps increased with the decrease of the temperature of deposition pipe wall, indicating the gelation effect gradually became ob-vious as the thickness of wax deposition grew rapidly at the initial stage of deposition. This change is in line with the experimental results of wax deposition.
