Analysis of Changes and Reasons for Outward Medical Transfers Before and After the Ep-idemic
Objective:To analyze the changes of outward medical transfers before and after the epidemic in a prefecture-level city grade A tertiary hospital,and to analyze and discuss the reasons and put forward rationalization suggestions.Methods:Retrospective survey research method and comparative analysis method were used to describe and analyze the number of outward medical transfers,departments transferred out,locations of outward medical transfers,and types of outward medical transfers in 2017-2019 versus 2020-2022.Results:In 2020-2022 compared with 2017-2019,there was a decrease in the number of referrals for outpatient care and the types of outpatient diseases,a significant change in the types of outpatient diseases,and no significant change in outpatient depart-ments and outpatient geographic locations.Conclusion:Epidemics affect the frequency and types of diseases transferred out of the re-gion,and patients choose intra-regional treatment during general disease epidemics,but for some tumor patients,especially malignant tumors,epidemics do not have a significant degree of influence on transferring out of the region.
