Correlation Analysis of Hospitalization Expenses of 1,248 Patients with Respiratory Dis-ease in Guizhou Province
Objective:To analyze the hospitalization costs and influencing factors of patients with respiratory diseases,and to pro-vide reference for optimizing the distribution of medical resources and reducing the direct economic burden of diseases.Method:The data of 1,248 patients with respiratory diseases in a certain Grade A tertiary hospital in Guizhou Province in 2022 were collected.The factors affecting the total hospitalization expenses were analyzed by Kruskal-Walli rank sum test,and the composition of expenses was analyzed by stepwise regression.Result:The median total hospital expenses of respiratory patients in a third class A hospital in Gui-zhou Province was 14 461.51 yuan.Among them,respiratory failure patients had the highest total hospitalization cost,with a median of 35 293.61 yuan,acute upper respiratory tract infection cost was the lowest,with a median of 3 788.63 yuan.There were statistically sig-nificant differences in the total hospitalization expenses of patients with respiratory diseases with different gender,age,length of stay,diagnosis,type of insurance insurance and discharge condition(P＜0.05).The expenses that had the greatest influence on the total hos-pitalization cost were western medicine cost,treatment cost,inspection cost,nursing cost and material cost(P＜0.05).Conclusion:The economic burden brought by hospitalization costs of respiratory system in Guizhou is relatively heavy.It is necessary to gradually raise the public awareness of preventing respiratory diseases,and reasonably control the direct economic burden of diseases from the as-pects of implementing clinical pathway management and improving medical insurance policies.
