Current Situation and Demand Analysis of Infant Care Service Based on Family Perspective
Objective:Based on the demand of infant care services,this paper aims to analyze the demand characteristics and influ-ence factors of 0-3 year old infant family care services in Sichuan Province,andto provide data support and policy suggestions for for-mulating infant care service policies in line with the actual situation of Sichuan Province.Methods:Using self-designed questionnaire,the parents of children under 3 in Sichuan Province were selected as the objects of this survey.Collecting datastes related to infant care services and analyzing the demand characteristics of different family backgrounds,24,376 valid questionnaires were collected.Re-sults:According to the survey results,The number of children,Age of children,Family income,Mother's education level,Parents have a job will affect the family's selection of nursery service(P<0.01).Families of infants tend to choose nursery classes,which charge less than 3,000 yuan,send and pick up children in the morning and evening all day long,provide meals and nurseries near their homes.The families who want to send the child to nursery hope the nursing staffs should have a college degree or above,and more attention to their life care ability.The primary reason for families who do not want to send their children to the nursery is that they think the child is too young.Among these families,83.83%of the children's main caregivers had high school education or below.Conclusion:In Sich-uan Province,different family backgrounds have different needs for infant care services.This suggests that we should take family needs as the guidance,vigorously develop inclusive public childcare services,encourage the provision of diversenursery services,standardize the management of nursery institutions in multiple ways,enhance the scientific parenting ability of families,and con-stantly improve the quality and effectiveness of nursery services.Escort the healthy growth of children under 3.
