The Contamination of Cadmium in Disposable Paper Cup of Shaoyang City
Objective:According to investigate the cadmium content of disposable paper cups in three districts of Shaoyang City,to analyze the risk of cadmium intake through disposable paper cups by the urban population in the city,in order to provide data support for the formulation of relevant standards and provide a basis for protecting the health of the population.Methods:A simple random sam-pling method was used to collect 40 samples from each of the D,S,and B districts in Shaoyang City.The cadmium content in random disposable paper cups was determined by ICP-MS after wet digestion,then the statistical analysis was assessed according to SPSS22.0.Results:Cadmium in disposable paper cups in three districts of Shaoyang City was different,B>S>D.No sample had Cd concentra-tions exceeding German critical value of 5 μg/L.Conclusion:The cadmium content of disposable paper cups sold in three districts of Shaoyang City is low,and the risk to residents'health is negligible.It is recommended that the relevant limits for cadmium in dispos-able paper cup be made,complying the limits for cadmium limiting value in water.
