A Statistical Analysis with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease
Objective:To analyze the age, gender, onset time and risk factors of 2,873 patients with COPD,so as to provide scientif-ic basis for effective prevention and early intervention of COPD.Methods:The information of patients discharged from COPD from Jan-uary 2021 to December 2023 in a certain hospital was retrospectively analyzed. Results:Among the 2,873 patients with COPD,the age of disease was concentrated in 60-89 years old(2,534 cases,88.20%),and the 70-79 age group had the largest number of pa-tients,accounting for 42.01%of the total number; The onset time is mostly concentrated in autumn and winter, with the highest number of people in December. The number of male patients in all age groups was higher than that of females, and the gender difference be-tween men and women in the 60-79 age group was the largest. The average length of hospital stay of COPD patients was 9.69 days, and the average length of hospital stay increased with age of all age groups over 50 years old.The proportion of male patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease who have a history of respiratory diseases is higher, and their hospitalization time is longer.Conclu-sions:Early intervention and active treatment for different populations and multiple risk factors will effectively reduce the progression and incidence of COPD,and greatly reduce the health harm of COPD.
