State-of-the-art technology review and current development trends in hot central plant recycling of reclaimed asphalt pavement
This paper reviews the key technical challenges and recent advancements in reclaimed as-phalt pavement hot central plant recycling(HCPR)technology. It begins by analyzing the aging mechanism of asphalt and the multi-scale variation law after aging.Additionally,it summarizes re-search progress on recycling methods and rejuvenators for both base asphalt and SBS modified asphalt.Furthermore,it delves into the performance characteristics and variability of RAP while introducing the latest preprocessing technology. The paper also examines the performance characteristics of HCPR asphalt mixture and asphalt pavement.A comparison between intermittent and continuous HCPR equipment and processes is provided, followed by an introduction to engineering applications and ben-efits.The advantages of HCPR technology in energy conservation, emission reduction, economy, and environmental protection are elucidated.Drawing on the latest research advancements in existing HCPR technology, the paper identifies potential shortcomings and proposes future development direc-tions.Ultimately,it aims to facilitate innovation and application within HCPR domain.
