During the cold drawing process,the plastic deformation of the steel wires is not uniform,and obvious residual stress can be generated inside the steel wires after drawing,which will greatly af-fect the mechanical properties of the steel wires.In this paper,the finite element model of multi-pass cold drawing of ultra-high strength steel wires is established by using Abaqus.The influence of die half cone angle,drawing pass,length of sizing belt and friction coefficient on the residual stress of steel wires after cold drawing is studied.The influence of various process parameters on the residual stress and plastic deformation uniformity of steel wires is also analyzed.Based on the results,the drawing process parameters are optimized.
