Research progress on corrosion fatigue failure mechanism of bridge cable steel wire
Bridge cable is one of the main load-bearing structures of cable bridge.Since the process of long-term service involves moisture,corrosion and fatigue,the steel wire in the cable is prone to corro-sion fatigue damage and fracture under the action of wet-heat-force,which endangers the safe operation of the bridge.Therefore,studying the corrosion fatigue damage mechanism of the cable has important theoretical significance and application value for evaluating the influence of corrosion fatigue damage of the cable on the overall structural performance of the bridge and ensuring the operation safety of the bridge.This paper reviews the research progress of corrosion fatigue of cable wire and related metal materials in recent years.Based on the brief introduction of the mechanism of metal corrosion fatigue and the failure mode of cable corrosion fatigue,the research progress of cable corrosion fatigue at mac-roscopic scale is introduced,and the typical damage failure models and life prediction methods are dis-cussed.The research status of corrosion fatigue of microscale cables is introduced from two aspects of crack initiation and crack propagation,and its mechanism and influencing factors are discussed in de-tail.The research direction of complex environment simulation,multi-mechanism coupling and macro and micro cross-scale model is proposed,which provides a theoretical basis for the design and develop-ment of high-performance and long-life cable wire.
