Recommendation of a fine chemical experiment-the synthesis of sodium dodecyl sulfate
Based on the teaching practice, a fine chemical experiments was recommend, it's suitable for advanced vocational students———the synthesis of sodium dodecyl sulfate. Using sulfuric acid and urea as catalyst, lauryl alcohol ( lauryl alcohol) and amino sulfonic acid were reacted, and sodium hydroxide was put ammonia, so the coarse product was gotten, and then, the white or light yellow solid were obtained by purification and drying. Through the experiment can make the students master the basic principle of sulfating preparation of anionic surfactant and methods, and grasp the experimental operation skills of fine chemical industry, such as the tail gas absorption and purification .
