Improvement of distance equation for infrared piont target based on energy utilization efficiency
The distance equation for an infrared point target is a basic instrument for designing an infrared search and track(IRST)system.The most widely used equation is Hudson's classic distance equation,which was proposed in 1970's.This paper first derives the classic distance equation and presents the distance model reflected by the equation.Then,the paper proposes the conception of energy utilization efficiency and introduces the parameter into the distance equation.Through the simulation of ener-gy utilization efficiency and the test in a real system,the effective ness of the parameter is verified in the end.
