This study explores the application of distribution automation technology in 10 kV distribution networks,aiming to assess its actual effectiveness in improving grid operation efficiency,ensuring power supply reliability and optimizing fault han-dling processes.By analysing several application cases,this study reveals how distribution automation technology can significantly shorten fault response time and effectively reduce the impact of outage events on customers through the implementation of real-time monitoring,rapid fault location and intelligent restoration strategies,thereby improving customer satisfaction and the opera-tional efficiency of power supply companies.The research results show that the application of distribution automation technology not only improves the fault processing speed in the distribution network,but also realises the precise control and optimization of the power grid operation state through intelligent management.The application of distribution automation technology in 10 kV distribution networks has a significant positive impact on improving the overall performance of power grids and the quality of pow-er supply.
