A Case Report:Renal Impairment Caused by Nematavir/Ritonavir with Cyclosporine and Tacrolimus in a Patient with Sjogren's Syndrome and Lung Transplantation
A 76-year-old male patient diagnosed with Sjogren's syndrome who underwent a right lung transplantation was infected with SARS-CoV-2 and given nimatevir/ritonavir medication, which consequently led to an augmentation of the blood trough concentrations of both cyclosporine and tacrolimus, subsequently causing an elevation of serum creatinine levels.By stopping cyclosporine and adjusting tacrolimus dosage for 4 days, blood trough concentrations of both cyclosporine and tacrolimus were back to target levels, and the level of creatinine was lower than before. The patient was ultimately discharged from the hospital. This case can be a reference for ensuring the safe utilization of these medications in practice.
