A Case Report of Montelukast Sodium Chewable Tablets Caused Tic Disor-der in a Child
A 7-year-old child with bronchial asthma took montelukast sodium chewable tablets for over ten months,then developed motor tics,manifested as shoulder shrugging and a crooked mouth,primarily occurring at night.Considering that these tics might be induced by the montelukast sodium chewable tablets,the use of this medication was suspended.Fifteen months after drug withdrawal,the child's symp-toms of shoulder shrugging and a crooked mouth disappeared.
