Investigation on the Willingness of Pharmacists to Participate in Chronic Disease Management in Community Health Service Centers in Nanjing City
Objective:To investigate the current situation of pharmacists'participation in chronic dis-ease management in community health service centers in Nanjing,analyze the existing problems,and pro-vide references for the construction and future development of pharmacist teams.Methods:Research and statistical analysis were conducted on pharmacists'work transformation,their attitudes towards participating in chronic disease management,their capabilities in chronic disease pharmaceutical services and their training needs through questionnaires.Results:A total of 304 questionnaires were distributed,and 280 valid questionnaires were retrieved,with a validity rate of 92.11%.The survey showed that only 45.71%of the surveyed pharmacists were aware of the current transformation of pharmacists'work.Regarding partici-pation in chronic disease management,73.93%of the pharmacists expressed their willingness to participate,but only half of them can spare 0.5-1 day per week.The main factors affecting pharmacists'participation in chronic disease management include lack of time and manpower(78.93%),lack of relevant knowledge and capabilities(67.86%),and lack of corresponding income compensation mechanisms(62.14%).In terms of training,75.00%of the pharmacists experienced knowledge and practice training on antibiotics use,and 68.21%of the pharmacists experienced basic knowledge training on chronic disease management;they were willing to participate in various training.Conclusion:Chronic disease management is being developed by the pharmacists of community health service centers in Nanjing,while improvements are required in aspects of willingness,ability and training.
