A primary study on extraction technology of American cockroach extract
Objective To develop a standardized procedure for preparing American cockroach extract.Methods The influences of various parameters,such as the time of extraction,concentration of sodium chloride(NaCl),and pH value of sample,on the efficiency of protein extraction were evaluated.The extraction procedure was then optimized using orthogonal test.Results The influences of various parameters on the efficiency of protein extraction were in an order of concentration of NaCl ＞time of extraction＞pH value,of which the concentration of NaCl was the most(P＜0.05).The conditions for the protein extraction were NaCl concentration of 0.4 mol/L,extraction time of 6 hours and pH 8.0.Conclusion A standardized procedure for preparing American cockroach extract has been developed successfully,which will be useful for the diagnosis and management of cockroach allergy.
