An analysis of influencing factors of Helicobacter pylori infection in peritoneal dialysis patients
Objective To explore the influencing factors of Helicobacter pylori(Hp)infection in the patients undergoing peritoneal dialysis(PD).Methods Ninety-two PD patients were divided into two groups of A(with Hp infection,40 cases)and B(without Hp infection,52 cases)based on the results of 14C urea breath test. The general information, nutritional indicators,inflammation-related indicators and dialysis adequacy-related indicators of two groups were compared.Multivariate logistic regression analysis was used to investigate the influencing factors of Hp infection in PD patients. Results Compared with group B,the patients in group A were older and had longer dialysis age, higher levels of hsCRP,TNF-α,INF-γ,IL-6 and lower levels of Hb,Alb,24-h urine volume,24-h ultrafiltration volume, total Kt/V,Kt/V of residual kidney, total Ccr and residual kidney Ccr(P<0.05).Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that older age and longer dialysis age were the independent risk factors for Hp infection in PD patients, while increased Kt/V and Ccr of residual kidney were the independent protective factors for Hp infection of PD patients(P<0.05).Conclusion PD patients are at high risk of Hp infection, and Hp infection is closely related to inflammatory response and dialysis adequacy.Anti-Hp treatment may have a positive effect on improving the prognosis of PD patients.
