Efficacy of chest physiotherapy combined with lower limb exercise training in patients with AECOPD
Objective To observe the efficacy of chest physiotherapy(CPT)combined with lower limb exercise training in the patients with acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(AECOPD).Methods A total of 55 patients with AECOPD were divided into two groups. On the basis of conventional treatment, group A(28 cases)received CPT,and group B(27 cases)was treated with CPT combined with lower limb exercise training. The diaphragm mobility, oxygenation index,PaCO2,chronic obstructive pulmonary disease assessment test(CAT)score,Barthel index(BI)score and secretion viscosity were compared between the two groups. Results The diaphragm mobility, oxygenation index,PaCO2,CAT score,BI score and secretion viscosity of the two groups were better after treatment than those before(P<0.05).The diaphragm mobility, oxygenation index and PaCC2 after treatment were better in group B than those in group A(P<0.05).Conclusion CPT combined with lower limb exercise training can effectively improve the diaphragm function, oxygenation index and PaCO2,enhance the activities of daily living and reduce the secretion viscosity in the patients with AECOPD.
