Clinical characteristics of anti-TIF1-γ antibody-associated dermatomyositis
Objective To investigate the clinical characteristics of anti-transcription intermediary factor 1-γ(TIF1-γ)antibody-related dermatomyositis(DM).Methods The clinical data of 137 patients with DM were retrospectively analyzed. The follow-up time was ≥2 years. The patients were divided into two groups of A(with positive anti-TIF1-γ antibody,23 cases)and B(with negative anti-TIF1-γ antibody,114 cases). The clinical characteristics of the two groups were compared. The influencing factors for malignancy in DM patients were analyzed. Results Compared with group B,group A had a longer duration of diagnosis, higher levels of forced vital capacity and carbon monoxide diffusing capacity, higher incidence of DM-related typical skin rash and malignancy, and lower incidence of"technician's hand"and interstitial lung disease(P<0.05 or P<0.01).Compared with group B,group A had lower levels of globulin, serum ferritin, lactate dehydrogenase,AST,ESR and IgA(P<0.05 or P<0.01).Multivariate logistic regression analysis revealed that anti-TIF1-γ antibody positivity[OR=4.301,95%CI(1.182-15.642)]and older onset age of DM[OR=1.057,95%CI(1.007-1.110)]were the independent risk factors for malignancy in DM patients(P<0.05).Conclusion The incidence of malignancy is higher in anti-TIF1-γ antibody-associated DM patients. The recognition of typical skin rash can facilitate the early diagnosis of the disease.
