Effect of broad chest aerosol on quality of life in patients with coronary heart disease after PCI
Objective To investigate the effect of broad chest aerosol on the quality of life in the patients with coronary heart disease after percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI).Methods Sixty patients with coronary heart disease underwent PCI were randomly divided into two groups of A and B with 30 cases each. The patients of two groups received routine medication for coronary heart disease after PCI and those of group A were additionally treated with broad chest aerosol two sprays a time, three times per day for 3 months. The quality of life was evaluated using 36-item short-form(SF-36)and Seattle angina questionnaire(SAQ)before treatment(T0),one month(T1)and 3 months(T2)during treatment. Results SF-36 scores and SAQ scores at T1 and T2 were higher than those at T0 in group A,which at T2 were higher than those at T1(P<0.05).The SF-36 scores of physiological function, physical pain, vitality, emotional intelligence and mental health at T1 and T2 were higher in group A than those in group B(P<0.05).The SF-36 scores of physiological competency, general health and social function at T2 in group A were higher than those in group B(P<0.05).The SAQ scores of physical activity limitation, stable angina status, treatment satisfaction and disease cognition at T1 and T2 were higher in group A than those in group B(P<0.05).The SAQ score of angina pectoris attack frequency at T2 was higher in group A than that in group B(P<0.05).Conclusion On the basis of conventional treatment, the additional treatment of broad chest aerosol can effectively control the frequency of angina pectoris in the patients with coronary heart disease after PCI,and improve the quality of life.
