Objective To observe the efficacy and safety of lipid-lowering antioxidant mixture in the treatment of the patients with coronary heart disease and hyperlipidemia. Methods Fifty patients with coronary heart disease and hyperlipidemia were randomly divided into two groups of A and C with 25 cases each. The patients in the two groups received modern medical standardized treatments.Group A was treated with additional lipid-lowering antioxidant mixture 10 mL orally three times a day for two months. The clinical efficacy was evaluated with TCM syndrome score and Seattle angina scale score. The blood lipid profile and liver and kidney function indicators were detected before and after treatment. Results TCM syndrome score and serum triglyceride level after treatment were significantly decreased in both groups(P<0.05),which were lower in group A than those in group C[(3.26±1.96)points vs.(6.61±1.23)points](P<0.05).Seattle angina score after treatment was significantly increased in both groups(P<0.01),which was higher in group A than that in group C[(77.42±3.24)points vs.(69.04±3.85)points](P<0.01).There were no significant differences in blood routine and liver and kidney function indexes between before and after treatment in both groups(P>0.05).Conclusion On the basis of modern medical standardized treatments, additionally oral lipid-lowering antioxidant mixture can significantly improve TCM syndrome, especially chest pain, chest tightness and burnout, reduce serum triglyceride level, and improve angina symptoms and quality of life.
