Clinical efficacy of dietary nutrition intervention combined with rehabilitation training in the treatment of mild to moderate senile dementia
Objective To observe the therapeutic efficacy of dietary nutrition intervention combined with rehabilitation training in the patients with mild to moderate senile dementia.Methods Ninety patients with senile dementia were randomly divided into two groups with 45 cases each.Group C was given conventional drug treatment and rehabilitation training.Group A was treated with additional dietary nutrition intervention.The nutritional status,cognitive function,quality of life(QOL)and the incidence of adverse events during treatment were compared between the two groups.Results After 2 months of treatment,the BMI,thickness of abdominal skinfold,levels of albumin and Hb,mini-mental state examination score and QOL score were better in group A than those in group C(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse events was lower in group A than that in group C(P<0.05).Conclusion Dietary nutrition intervention combined with rehabilitation training can effectively improve the nutritional status,cognitive function and QOL of the patients with mild to moderate senile dementia,and reduce the incidence of adverse events.
