Difference in age, pathological type and geography in cicatricial phimosis children with different BMI
Objective To analyze the age, pathological type and geographical differences of cicatricial phimosis children with different BMI.Methods The clinical data of 263 children with clinically diagnosed cicatricial phimosis underwent operative treatment were retrospectively analyzed.According to BMI,the children were divided into normal group(112 cases),overweight group(53 cases)and obese group(98 cases). The age, pathological types and geographical differences among three groups were analyzed. Results The age of 263 cases was normally distributed, concentrated in 5-12 years old.The age of the children in normal group was lower than that in overweight group and obesity group[(8.5±2.3)years old vs.(9.7±2.2)years old and(10.0±2.2)years old](P<0.05),but there was no significant difference in age between overweight group and obesity group(P>0.05).There were no significant differences in pathological types and geographical distribution among three groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Onset age of cicatricial phimosis has been delayed in boys of obesity and over weight.Prevention and control of overweight and obesity can reduce the incidence of cicatricial phimosis in boys.
