Clinical application of inhalation anesthesia special face mask for children
Objective To observe the clinical application of the inhalation anesthesia special face mask for children. Methods A total of 100 children with unilateral strabismus aged 3 to 6 years undergoing sevoflurane inhalation anesthesia were randomly divided into two groups with 50 cases each.Sevoflurane inhalation anesthesia induction and maintenance were performed with the special face mask in group A and with a conventional face mask in group C.Anesthesia induction time, anesthesia time and recovery time were compared between the two groups.Diastolic blood pressure, systolic blood pressure and heart rate were recorded before anesthesia induction(T0),at early time after face mask placement(T1),at 5 minutes(T2)and 10 minutes(T3)during anesthesia. The occurrence of postoperative adverse reactions was observed.Sevoflurane volume concentration was detected in the air samples near the mouth and nose and on the work platform of two groups at T1-T3.Results Compared with group C,anesthesia induction time in group A was shorter(P<0.05).The anesthesia time and recovery time of two groups were similar(P>0.05).Diastolic blood pressure, systolic blood pressure and heart rate at T0-T3 of the two groups were similar(P>0.05).The incidences of postoperative adverse reactions of the two groups were similar as well(P>0.05).The volume concentration of sevoflurane near the mouth and nose and on the work platform in group A was lower than that in group C at T1(P<0.01).Conclusion Compared to the conventional face mask for children, the inhalation anesthesia special face mask for children can effectively avoid the leakage of anesthetic gas during the induction of inhalation anesthesia, shorten the induction time of anesthesia induction with good safety.
