Application of modified intradermal suture in the resection of facial nevus
Objective To observe the efficacy of modified intradermal suture in the resection of facial nevus. Methods A total of 54 cases underwent facial nevus resection were analyzed retrospectively, who were divided into a simple interrupted suture group(group C,28 cases)and modified intradermal suture group(group A,26 cases). After facial nevus resection, all incisions were closed without tension using modified dermis intradermal suture technique. And then the outer skins were sutured precisely with modified intradermal suture in group A and simple interrupted suture in group C,respectively. The wound healing grades of the two groups were observed. The score of Vancouver Scar Scale(VSS)and the postoperative satisfaction degree of patients were compared between the two groups 6 months after surgery. Results All incisions healed in grade A.The VSS score of group A was significantly better than that of group C(P<0.05).The total patient's satisfaction degree of group A was significantly higher than that of group C(P<0.05).Conclusion Compared with the simple interrupted suture, the modified intradermal suture can effectively reduce the scar after facial nevus resection, improve the healing aesthetics and patient's satisfaction.
