Application of shear wave elastography in detecting diseased intestinal wall of patients with Crohn's disease
Objective To explore the application value of shear wave elastography(SWE)in detecting diseased intestinal wall of the patients with Crohn's disease. Methods The clinical data of 70 patients with Crohn's disease were analyzed retrospectively.Spearman correlation coefficient was used to analyze the correlation of ultrasound indicators with simplified Crohn's disease activity index(CDAI),disease course, fecal calprotectin(FC),CRP,ESR and WBC.Results The Limberg blood flow grading of the diseased intestinal wall was negatively correlated with disease course(rs=-0.428,P<0.05).The elasticity score of the diseased intestinal wall was positively correlated with disease course and FC(rs=0.402 and 0.529,P<0.05),but was negatively correlated with WBC(rs=-0.494,P<0.01).The shear wave velocity of the diseased intestinal wall was positively correlated with the simplified CDAI score, disease course and FC(rs=0.429,0.420 and 0.550,P<0.05).Conclusion SWE can objectively reflect the degree of fibrosis of the diseased intestinal wall in the patients with Crohn's disease, which is a safe and repeatable method for assisting the diagnosis of Crohn's disease.
