Analysis of factors influencing cancer pain relief by radiotherapy in cancer patients with bone metastasis
Objective To analyze the factors influencing cancer pain relief by radiotherapy in cancer patients with bone metastasis. Methods The relevant data of 51 cancer patients with bone metastasis were retrospectively analyzed,of whom 34 cases had a pain relieve by radiotherapy(group A)and 17 cases had no pain remission(group B).Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the factors influencing the pain relieve by radiotherapy. Results Compared to group B,group A had higher serum albumin, lower alkaline phosphatase and more use of bisphosphonate(P<0.05).Univariate logistic regression analysis showed that gender, bisphosphonate use, serum albumin and alkaline phosphatase were associated with the pain relief after radiotherapy(P<0.05).Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that bisphosphonate use was an independent protective factor for radiotherapy efficacy(P<0.05).Conclusion The pain relief of cancer patients with malignant bone metastases after radiotherapy is related to various factors, among which the use of bisphosphonates during radiotherapy is an independent protective factor for cancer pain relief.
