Analysis and prevention of common causes of 45 steel sprockets quenching cracks
When 45 steel sprockets are quenched and tempered or inductively hardened,quenching cracks often appear on surface.The causes of quenching cracks were analyzed,and measures to prevent quenching cracks were proposed.Accord-ing to chemical composition of sprocket,microstructure of raw material,complexity of sprocket structure and surface state,etc.,reasonable heat treatment process should be formulated,and preventive measures should be taken to reduce thermal stress and microstructure stress during quenching of sprocket.It is also necessary to strengthen on-site process operation management,enhance sense of responsibility,and avoid quenching cracks of 45 steel sprockets.
